Our Town, 2013

Our Town, 2013

Our Town was the debut mainstage show in The Theatre School’s brand new facility (Architect: Pelli Clarke Pelli).

Designing the show while the building was still under construction meant that there was no way to get a feel for the 3-sided space beforehand. Instead, attention was paid to angle studies and technical drawings showing the theatre’s details.

The first mainstage show to go up in the new building, the production’s design was elegant and elemental. Understated lighting subtly emphasizing tempo and proximity complimented the spare scenery and live offstage sound effects.

Moth, 2014

Moth, 2014

The US premiere of Australian playwright Declan Greene’s play, Moth, Directed by Michael Osinski.

This show’s dark and fragmented design was inspired by its propulsive plot. A neo-noir schoolyard horror story, the two-character play dives into and out of reality with regularity.
